Our Centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand
The Beekeeper House is an award-winning residential mental health and addiction treatment centre, set on two hectares of botanical gardens in the mountains of Mae Rim, Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand.
Who We Are
Our 16-bedroom centre is a private, low-stimulation setting designed to support rest, reflection, and clinical care, with enough distance from the pressures and triggers of daily life to let you focus entirely on treatment.
The Beekeeper House is part of a larger regional mental health and wellbeing group of companies, which also owns or part-owns several holistic wellbeing-focused companies specialising in yoga and holistic practices.

Our Philosophy
The Beekeeper House was founded on the principle of placing the client at the centre of everything we do. We see providing a quality, ethical programme, one that fully respects the rights of every client, as both a moral obligation and a meaningful contributor to the effectiveness of treatment.

Our Ethics
We work to ensure that every client’s rights are acknowledged, respected, and upheld, under all circumstances. We believe people in recovery want, and deserve, to be heard and respected. Empowering clients in their own decision-making, and respecting their autonomy, reflects the confidence and support we believe they need to build a better life.

Our Rooms
Our 16 bedrooms offer forest views and direct access to the gardens, giving each client a private, comfortable space to rest between therapy and activities. Rooms are set within the wider two-hectare grounds, away from the centre’s communal and activity spaces, to support a quiet, low-stimulation environment.

Our Grounds and Facilities
Our centre sits within two hectares of botanical gardens, with forest views and garden walking paths throughout. Grounds and facilities include a custom-built yoga and meditation sala, a separate recreation sala, a swimming pool, a gym and outdoor fitness area with TRX and boxing equipment, and our dedicated Pilates studio. A small Buddhist temple sits within walking distance of the centre.

Food at The Beekeeper House
Meals are prepared on site by our in-house kitchen team, led by Head Chef Harry, a professional chef with 14 years of hotelier experience, and supported by nutritionists on our team.
Food is treated as part of your recovery, not separate from it: the team builds the nutrition education in your programme around meals that reflect a conscious, considered approach to eating. Dietary requirements and meal preferences are formally accommodated.

Chiang Mai: Our Surroundings
Chiang Mai, sometimes called the Rose of the North, is known for its historical temples, mountain scenery, and surrounding forest. Our centre sits in the hills of Mae Rim, around 680 kilometres from Bangkok, with a small Buddhist temple within walking distance. The setting gives clients a calm, natural environment alongside access to the wider region when it forms part of a planned activity.
As part of the residential programme, clients take part in weekend excursions into the surrounding area, which can include local temples, mountain scenery, waterfalls and trekking, an elephant sanctuary, and Thai cultural experiences and festivities, alongside activities such as cooking, jewellery making, and pottery.

Rehab in Thailand for International Clients
Most of the people we treat travel to us from overseas, and we have built dedicated support around that journey. Choosing to travel for treatment puts helpful distance between you and the environment linked to your symptoms, and it gives you access to accredited, international-standard care.
Our admissions team guides you through every step, from the initial consultation and clinical assessment, which take place by phone or video before you travel, through to travel, arrival, and settling in. Australian clients may also be able to access their superannuation early to fund treatment on medical grounds. To learn more about treatment from your part of the world, see the pages below for clients from the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States.

QuestionsOur Centre: Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when I arrive?
On arrival, our team provides private transport from Chiang Mai airport or the bus station to the centre. You will then have a medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol testing where relevant, followed by a fuller assessment of your needs with our physician and a therapist.
How long is a residential stay?
Our residential programme has a minimum stay of 35 days, including medical detox where it is needed. Many clients benefit from a longer stay, and we often recommend around 90 days where clinically appropriate; the right length for you depends on your individual needs and is agreed following assessment.
How much does treatment cost?
Treatment is tailored to each person, so the cost depends on your length of stay and the level of care required. We do not publish prices online, but our admissions team will provide a clear, all-inclusive quote during a free, confidential consultation.
Do you accept health insurance?
We can accept health insurance where your insurer provides a letter of guarantee. An initial deposit is required to secure your placement. Our admissions team can talk you through what is needed for your particular policy.
Do complementary therapies like mindfulness and yoga actually help?
Mindfulness and yoga are well supported by research as helpful complementary practices in addiction and mental health treatment, and form part of our wider holistic programme alongside evidence-based psychotherapy, rather than as a replacement for it.
Why is treatment based in Thailand?
Chiang Mai offers a calm, natural setting, an established recovery community, and access to international-standard medical facilities, within a region that can also make treatment more accessible cost-wise than in some home countries. See our page on seeking treatment in Thailand for more detail.
Is The Beekeeper House part of a wider group?
Yes. The Beekeeper House is part of the Beekeeper Group, which includes other wellbeing-focused organisations across the region.
